We Were Not Worried at Dinner Time

October 10, 1938 was Canada's Thanksgiving Day, but that warm and windy Monday brought the horror of forest fire to the Ontario-Minnesota Rainy border. Seventeen people in Dance Township, Ontario, lost their lives as did one man in International Falls, Minnesota. In addition to telling a story of disaster and near disaster, the authors examine what life was like for settlers on one of North America's last frontiers.
