Research Fees
Due to the time consuming nature of research, there will be a fee assessed for all research conducted by our staff. Payment is due before research will begin and can be paid via credit card over the phone, by mail via check, or in person by check, cash, or credit card. If paying by check, please make checks out to KCHS. Our phone number and address can be found on the "Contact" tab.
Rates:
First hour= $25.00*
Each additional hour=$15.00*
*KCHS Members receive a discount for research requests. Contact us for rates.
Please indicate the maximum amount of time that we should spend on your research request. By placing this order, you authorize us to increase your order total for the amount of time we spend, up to the maximum amount you authorized.
Please also be aware, you will be charged regardless if we come up with any results for your request. In doing so, please know that every effort is made to answer your questions and deliver to you as many materials as possible to satisfy your inquiry.
Additional Services
Newspaper Articles:
Newspaper articles are available for photocopy. Rates vary based on newspaper type.
Rates:
Unbound Article Copy: $2.00
Bound Article Copy: $5.00
Obituaries: $5.00 Name and Date of Death are required.
Photo Copies:
Photocopy service is available at a rate of:

.20/page for 8.5"X11" sheet of regular paper.

.25/page for 11"X17" sheet of regular paper.
**Additional charges will apply for specialty papers and/or color printing.
Photo Release Services:
KCHS does allow its images to be reproduced under contract. Fees apply and vary anywhere from $25-$100 per image depending on use. Please contact us if you are interested in using our images, for a complete list, and our contract.
