Koochiching Museums

On July 28, 2022, the world seemed a little dimmer when we lost our dear friend and museum colleague, Paul Kavan. Paul was not only a joy to have as part of our museum family but also a wonderful friend. He was an integral part of our museum programming; assisting with the set-up of our interactive kiosks, updating computer systems, and helped in the development of our History on Tap series, which has graciously been hosted by Loony's Brew since its inception.

 

The friends and family of Paul generously sent donations to the Museums in his memory, and so with those donations, we chose to create the Paul Kavan Memorial Endowment. The endowment will help facilitate educational and hands on learning opportunities for the young and young at heart. These efforts will be made possible through creative programming, technology, and sensory experiences, available in the museums, our local schools, and across the community.

 

It is our sincere hope that this initiative will honor Paul's memory and keep his love of learning, creativity, and exploration alive indefinitely. Your gifts will help us achieve that!
